Marvel Nemesis: Rise Of The Imperfects

Rise of the Imperfects is fun, but is definitely Imperfect

Marvel Nemesis: Rise Of The Imperfects released in 2005 for the PS2 , Gamecube, Xbox, Nintendo DS and PSP. It was based on the 6 issue mini series Marvel Nemesis – The Imperfects. Which focuses on popular Marvel characters, facing a new team of villains

Fanfare at it's finest

Although the game is based off “The Imperfects” comics, the story is completely different. With key characters having their own story mode. Despite that you do get too play as a bunch of cool marvel characters such as Daredevil, Doctor Doom, Elektra, Human Torch , Spiderman , Storm , and Wolverine. Each character has different moves set and has cool finishing moves allowing you too embarrass your foe.

“A web slinging ass kicking”

Along with plenty of moves , the stages also have hazards, you can pick up certain objects and hurl them at your foes. The stages are also diverse with popular places such as the Daily Bugle. Kicking ass and destroying the environment with your favorite Marvel characters is a great thrill. As you can imagine multiplayer is fun also. Nothing better than a tough match only ending with a brutal finisher. The feeling does not last long however.

It can't all be perfect

Although the game has all the fanfare and characters too throw at you, its hard not too want more. The story honestly isn't that great, and the way its put together doesnt help at all. The combat is fun and the moves are somewhat flashy but there is a real lack of content as far as game modes. With a boring story, doing a bunch of V.S. Matches can get old especially with plenty other gems available. This game however is still one that should not be looked over.
